New Renault Premiums cut fuel costs for XDP Express
Parcel Delivery company, XDP Express, has taken delivery of four new Renault Premium 450.18 Privilege tractor units with Optidriver gearbox. The vehicles have been supplied through Renault distributor Allports Truck Centre and will be operated on a 4 year contract hire agreement managed by Allports’ associate company, Commercial Vehicle Rental (CVR).The Renault Premiums have joined a mixed fleet of 110 vehicles and will undertake a nationwide, overnight parcel delivery service.
Louis John, Director, XDP says: “We chose to purchase the new Renault Premiums due to the fuel efficiency of the automated gearbox, coupled with the AdBlue technology. The trucks run to and from Scotland every day, covering 600 miles, so we need the most fuel efficient vehicles available. We have only had the vehicles for two weeks but we have already noticed a significant difference. By monitoring our mileage and routes we have definitely seen a fuel saving.”
The company are currently in the process of ordering four more Renault Premiums based on this fuel efficiency.
Based in Sutton Coldfield, XDP Express was formed in 1995 and has since grown to be the largest privately owned parcel carrier in the UK.
