Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medellin opens in Colombia

InterContinental Hotels Group, the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medellin in Colombia.

The 19-story, 96-room hotel will be conveniently situated in the La Strada complex, a new dynamic mixed-use development with residential, commercial, restaurants and shopping venues located in the upscale neighborhood of El Poblado.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medellin is the fourth IHG property in Colombia and the second IHG property in the city of Medellin. IHG has had a 38-year presence in the city with the InterContinental Medellin, which celebrated a re-launch in 2006 after undergoing a notable US$ 4 million renovation.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medellin will include four meeting rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a restaurant.
