BykaTryka launch concept SK8 at British International Motor show
BykaTryka aims to revolutionise the image of trikes. These are cute, fun and cool. Forget your standard image, these trikes are for the streetwise teens, for the commuters with an environmental conscience and for the business man who wants to offer local services economically.Steve, the director of BykaTryka said: “If you thought that trikes are only ridden by bearded weirdos who want to marry big car engines to motorbikes then you couldn’t be more wrong. This trike is for your daughter, when you are worried she would fall off a moped, they are cool enough for your son when it is too expensive to add him to your insurance and his mother won’t let him have a bike. Our trikes don’t fall over when you forget to put the stand down. They can carry all your stuff and more.”
BykaTryka have brought their exciting SK8 to the motor show, a customised Piaggio 50 Trike with a 49cc engine. It is legally still a moped and can, therefore, be ridden on a CBT. It carries up to 200kg, has 4 gears and reverse. It is great fun to ride (did someone say they saw it do a wheelie? and another? Surely not!)
For the 16 year old who cannot get a car licence because of age it means independence, whether it is customised or not.
On the commercial front there is the larger version coming in at 218cc. Where access and parking are crucial the manoeuvrability of our trike range is amazing. One company in St Albans, Rafiki’s, has been using a customised version of these trikes for their catering business since last year and are so pleased with them they are ordering more. (One of their vehicles will be on the stand too.)
BykaTryka are at stand 261 at the Motor Show at ExCeL.
