Kwik-Fit to sell Air in Your Spare

7th August 2007 Print
Latest research has confirmed that under inflated tyres are not only a possible safety risk, but also responsible for increased fuel consumption and greater CO2 emissions. Motorists have been urged by TyreSafe - the UK’s leading tyre safety organisation - to check the condition and pressures of all tyres and in particular the spare on a regular basis. Yet the spare tyre is probably the most neglected component on a vehicle. Most motorists never check their spare for correct pressure and as a consequence when that urgent need arises it is very likely to be deflated and in a non usable condition.

Now, 350 Kwik-Fit branches in the UK have an answer to this age old problem – Air in Your Spare. The UK’s number one is now stocking an effective product that enables the spare in the boot to be checked easily and simply. The Air in Your Spare product comprises a strong yet flexible hose which is connected to the valve of the spare tyre and then routed into the boot area. The end of the hose has a visual low tyre pressure warning. This hose can also be used to top up the spare.

Kwik-Fit is now offering Air in Your Spare for £14.99 inclusive of VAT and you can contact your nearest branch on 0800 222 111 to see if they have the device available. Air in Your Spare is produced by the global hydraulics company Pirtek to a European standard. It cannot be damaged when the boot is loaded with cases.
