Northey Arms achieves 5-star inn status
Following a fabulous refurbishment, the Northey Arms in the village of Box has been awarded a five star grading making it one of the finest Inns in the area.
Part of the Old House At Home Company, the Northey Arms is the second property in the group to achieve five stars for the high quality accommodation and dining, following in the footsteps of sister property, The Old House @ Home in Castle Combe.
The group has made considerable achievements by bucking the trend of the recession since raising finance of £½ million in 2008. The owners have taken gastro pubs and created five star inns breaking the mould of similar everyday establishments. A further two new rooms are due to open in December at the Northey Arms, just a year after re-launching following refurbishment.
The décor has been completely transformed by owner Sally Warburton from who has turned it into to a contemporary cosy inn with traditional flagstone and wood floors, oak chairs and handcrafted tables. The bedrooms are equally stylish with chic and mellow colours for a relaxing stay.
The entire venue has been designed to offer visitors an enticing place to relax and enjoy the surroundings, music and ambience as if they were in their own living room.
Quality and consistency in the kitchen has resulted in receiving Michelin recognition for a chef who carefully sources all ingredients through extensive research. Highlights of the Northey Arms bar menu include calves liver and bacon or Greek salad with deep fried salt and pepper squid through to tiger prawn linguini and pork escalope in bacon in the evening.
Room rates start from only £89 per room, per night and include a full English and/or continental breakfast. The rooms comprise three double en-suite bedrooms and enjoy plasma screen Freeview TV, broadband access and tea and coffee making facilities.
