Uttoxeter Cricket Club ‘bowled over’ by Taylor Wimpey donation
Members of Uttoxeter Cricket Club were pleasantly surprised recently when Debbie Dalton, sales executive at Taylor Wimpey Midlands’ The Stables development in the town, stopped by to hand over a cheque worth £400.
The cricket club, which has been in desperate need of a new mower to keep the wicket looking pristine, approached Taylor Wimpey for support and the house builder was more than happy to help. With the donation from Taylor Wimpey members will also be treated to a much deserved ‘Club Day’ in August.
David Hunt, chairman of Uttoxeter Cricket Club, said: “Uttoxeter Cricket Club is extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey Midlands for the generous donation. We place great importance on maintaining the high standard of our ground, especially keeping the wicket in perfect condition, so Taylor Wimpey’s donation will ensure we can do this. Here’s to Taylor Wimpey, our honorary ‘man of the match!’”
Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, adds: “Taylor Wimpey is keen to support the Uttoxeter community whenever possible and the cricket club is definitely worth investing in. The team is one which Uttoxeter can be proud of and we’re going to be keeping a close eye on its achievements in the future.”
The Stables has enjoyed a storming success since its launch, so much so that only five homes remain for sale. It’s not hard to see its appeal though as the development is in a conservation area with elevational details designed to compliment the immediate environment and commands a much sought after location in the heart of Uttoxeter, ensuring residents will have everything they need at their fingertips. The town’s facilities include shops, restaurants, bars, twice weekly outdoor markets, a Tesco supermarket and Cinebowl entertainment complex, all within walking distance.
Situated close to the A50, Uttoxeter benefits from easy access to the M6, along with the towns and cities of Burton-upon-Trent and Stoke-on-Trent. Rail users will find the mainline railway station is just a short walk away, for stress free commuting to Derby.
There is currently a collection of two bedroom apartments remaining priced from £108,995 and two bedroom townhouses from £124,995 and one three bedroom Ashbourne townhouse priced at £159,995. For further information about The Stables, visit: taylorwimpey.co.uk
