Millgate Homes brings London-style apartment living to Ascot

While the capital is a hotbed of fabulous apartments whose square footages put the average detached property to shame, such opportunities outside central London are few and far between; unless it’s in the form of a converted wing in a country house out ‘in the sticks’.

Millgate Homes, however, has used the vision that has seen it become one of the Home Counties’ leading niche house builders to create a totally new concept that brings the kind of apartment living one would expect in Kensington or Thames-side city pads to sought-after Ascot.

Brockenhurst House combines a leafy, suburban location with apartments built to a size and specification that brings a whole new dimension to apartment living. And the things that set this flagship development apart from the crowd are evident from the moment you enter the electric gates and are greeted by an imposing façade surrounded by lush, landscaped grounds.

Upon entering the communal entrance hall the theme is one of sheer opulence with mirrors, rich wood details, marbled flooring and a sweeping staircase flanked by statement lighting combining to lend an air of a classic ocean liner. The feature staircase with its handcrafted rail and balustrade and an elevator offer access to the three floors that house these fourteen individually appointed 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in Ascot.

Upon taking a tour of the apartments, which range in size from 1,200 – 2000 square feet, it becomes evident that no two share the same layout. These homes are as individual as they are spacious. While prospective purchasers get a real choice when it comes to a new home at Brockenhurst House, courtesy of the diversity of the accommodation on offer, Millgate Homes’ meticulous attention to detail is apparent in the specification of every apartment. From outdoor space in the form of private patios, terraces and, in the case of penthouses, roof gardens, through to beautifully finished kitchens and bathrooms, these properties have been designed to impress the most discerning of buyers.

Bespoke, fitted kitchens are designed by Millgate Homes’ in-house specialist. Cabinets are complemented by stone work surfaces and upstands, alongside a host of appliances that include a five ring gas hob, electric fan-assisted oven, extractor hood, wine fridge and combination microwave oven alongside an integrated fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and water softener. Bathrooms and en suites are equally opulent, with crisp, white sanitary ware from the house of Villeroy & Boch set off to perfection with contemporary chrome furnishings and bespoke fitted vanity units with stone tops.

And the proof, as they say, is in the pudding – eight of these exceptional new homes in Ascot have already been snapped up, as David Wrigley, Head of Sales and Marketing at Millgate Homes, explains:

“It’s been a real whirlwind journey at Brockenhurst House since we launched in March. People knew that this development was set to be something special and Ascot is a very sought-after address. We have attracted a niche profile of purchasers that include those looking to downsize from very large properties in the surrounding area and who, as yet, have been unable to find an apartment generous enough to suit their needs, through to professional business people who spend a lot of time travelling and have homes abroad. In pretty much all cases, purchasers have made the decision to move almost as soon as they’ve walked through the doors – the main difficultly for them has been deciding which of the apartments they prefer; they’ve literally been spoilt for choice.”

Of the remaining six apartments in Ascot, two are penthouses that enjoy their own private roof gardens. Another feature of city centre living that’s rarely seen outside the capital, these oases of personal outdoor space have been designed by a Chelsea award-winning landscaper to be breathtakingly stunning yet low maintenance and functional. Each offers areas dedicated to sun worshipping, relaxing and dining, with an ‘outdoor kitchen’ to delight the most ambitious of cooks.

The care and attention to detail that has gone into the planning of this landmark new address is evident even in the less glamorous details. Each apartment benefits from two spots in the underground car park, with spaces designed to accommodate even the largest car models and a heated access ramp to ensure ice won’t be a problem even on the coldest of winter days.

Prices for the remaining apartments in Ascot range from £695,000 for a 2 bedroom apartment to £1,295,000 for a 3 bedroom apartment on the first floor. Viewing is strictly by appointment. Visit millgatehomes.co.uk for more information.
