Bellway Homes is enjoying a lively start to 2011 north of the border thanks to some astute land purchases in 2010.

The award-winning housebuilder is currently gearing up for the launch of three major new housing developments in sought-after locations in central Scotland, all scheduled to be offered to home hunters this spring.

The first, “The Drumlins” in Gartcosh will offer a selection of three and four bedroom homes all finished to Bellway’s usual impeccably high standards.

William McDermott, Land Director for Bellway Homes, said: “There’s a lot of demand for family homes in North Lanarkshire at the moment, so we’re expecting The Drumlins to be a very popular development. We were delighted to secure the five-acre site late last year. Gartcosh is a 15 minute drive from Glasgow yet still manages to have a rural feel, making it an ideal location for a family home.”

Moving East, Bellway is also gearing up to launch Phase II at its Duchess Park development in Dalkeith, Midlothian. Again, stylish three and four bedroom family homes are the order of the day.

“Phase I at Duchess Park sold out at the end of 2010, so we know that the development is a big hit with buyers and that there’s pent-up demand for more of our homes in Dalkeith.”

Completing the hat-trick of new developments is Templars Rise in Kirkliston, near South Queensferry. Here, Bellway is planning to build a selection of high-specification four and five bedroom homes, ideally located to offer a relaxed and stylish family living.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, said: “Kirkliston is a great location, given its proximity to the city of Edinburgh, as well as being close to the Forth Bridge to the north and Edinburgh Airport to the South east. We’re looking forward to creating a range of modern, stylish homes at Templars Rise, specifically designed to meet the needs of the 21st century family.”

Conn continued: “It’s a great credit to our Scottish land-buying team that they keep finding such popular locations for our latest developments. Their hard work, combined with our award-winning design and house-building skills, our flexible terms for buyers and our unbeatable customer service are major factors in Bellway’s continuing success in Scotland.”
