It's hot up north
Move over hot chocolate - hot Vimto is the drink of the season with the explosion of a trend for all things northern.
The North may be known for the champagne swilling tendencies of its WAGS, but once the cold weather descends, only Hot Vimto hits the mark.
All things Northern are at the height of cool at the moment with Agyness Dean and Henry Holland setting the fashion agenda and the BBC’s move to Media City putting Manchester in the spotlight. Hot Vimto is fast becoming the stylish drink this winter for those in the know.
Rosie’s Deli in Brixton Market and Kaffeine in the heart of the West End are among the first of London’s boutique tea and coffee shops to join the trend, selling Hot Vimto to the Capital’s chilly shoppers.
Meanwhile, Northern celebrities including Steve Coogan, Peter Kay and Agyness Dean are pledging their allegiance for Vimto and spreading the word by sporting their limited edition Hot Vimto It’s Hot Up North t-shirts.
There’s nothing like a good old mug of hot Vimto to give your favourite purple drink a seasonal twist by simply switching from ice cold to kettle boiled. Bored of brews and had enough of hot chocolate? This steamy option is by far the fruitiest way to keep warm.
