Find a place to stay the easy way on VisitWales.co.uk
The first online ‘find engine’ for accommodation FindsYouAPlaceToStay.com, has partnered with the Welsh Assembly Government’s tourist team VisitWales to provide holidaymakers in Wales with a new, unique way to find the accommodation they want, from the vast choice available.
The FindsYouAPlaceToStay.com service, which is already a marked success with Britain’s national tourism agency VisitBritain, will be available for VisitWales users from December 2010. As part of the search facility on the website visitwales.co.uk, the new find engine allows accommodation seekers to post a ‘wanted’ advert, outlining exactly what they are looking for. The FindsYouAPlaceToStay service then matches the request with suitable Welsh accommodation providers who are then able to contact the user directly.
For the first 6 months, accommodation providers in Wales are being offered the service completely free of charge. Anyone running a quality-assessed hotel, guesthouse or self-catering accommodation can register on FindsYouAPlaceToStay.com to be part of the scheme. In return, they will be matched with genuine customers who can then be contacted directly.
VisitWales representative Amir Ramzan comments: “We’re extremely pleased to be working with FindsYouAPlaceToStay.com. This facility, which is not location-biased, provides people with a user-friendly, simple way of matching available accommodation to their specific requirements. This service is not only an excellent tool for VisitWales users looking to explore the country; it will also provide an invaluable source of custom for accommodation providers.”
FindsYou.com CEO Guy Walker adds: “This partnership means we can offer accommodation seekers a truly tailored service confined to Wales specific searches whilst delivering Welsh accommodation providers with genuine customer-leads. We expect this partnership to be a huge success, as it’s quick, easy to use and importantly delivers results promptly. Our recent research shows that although the majority of people use the internet to source accommodation, they’re increasingly disillusioned with faceless booking systems. The FindsYouAPlaceToStay service re-introduces the personal contact that most customers prefer."
