Peugeot RCZ Sports Coupe this year’s ‘must-have’ car
New ‘60’ registration cars are leaving the showrooms throughout the UK and Peugeot Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) winning drivers Nicolas Minassian and Anthony Davidson were two of the first to ‘60’ for it.
Both drivers chose an RCZ GT THP 200 naturally as it is the most powerful version, but also because it features larger diameter front brakes, a bracing bar to stiffen-up the front suspension and an engine Sound System to maximise the driving experience. They also took advantage of the RCZ’s personalisation options and specified Anthra Grey Soltice 19” alloy wheels, brilliant black grille and brake callipers and elegant Champagne roof arches.
The popularity of the RCZ has really taken off with advance orders now stretching to year end. 85% of new customers are specifying the top-of-the-range ‘GT’ specification that features as standard electric powered and heated leather seats, automatic lights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers, front parking aid and auto dipping door mirrors, over the well-specified ‘Sport’ specification.
Nicolas Minassian and Anthony Davidson were victorious at the weekend driving the 908 HDi FAP endurance race car over 1000kms at Silverstone in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. The 908 features an aerodynamic double-bubble roof that was the inspiration for the distinctive and characteristic RCZ roof and rear window design.
