Barratt Homes sales negotiator Hilary Cridge with the Penygraig football team Barratt Homes, Britain’s leading house builder, is showing its support for the local community in Penygraig by sponsoring the over 17s football team at Penygraig Boys’ and Girls’ Club.

The club, which was formed in 1974, is a registered charity and a focal point for the children and young people of Penygraig and Williamstown, as well as the surrounding district.

Barratt, which has a number of developments in the region, is keen to form closer links with the community and Sales Director, Sandra Dixon says this was the perfect solution.

She said: “The senior boy’s team plays every Saturday at a variety of locations throughout the region and by sponsoring the team we are not only gaining exposure for Barratt, but also pledging our support to an organisation which we know is right at the heart of the community.”

Ricky Thomas, who coaches the over 17s team, said: “It’s great for us to be involved with Barratt, the club depends on the support of its volunteers and sponsors and it’s good to have a recognised name behind us. We finished mid league last season and have recently signed some new talent, so we’re looking forward to the season ahead.”
