George Wimpey starts work at St Edmunds Gate Building on the success of its popular Kingsbury Grange development at Moreton Hall in Bury St Edmunds, leading house-builder George Wimpey has started work on its next collection of homes – St Edmunds Gate.

The stylish development of just under 200 new homes located off Primack Road, Moreton Hall, will become available to customers this autumn – when a sumptuous five-bedroom showhome will also open to visitors.

Steve Rolt, Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey East Anglia, says: “With only a handful of two, three and four-bedroom homes remaining for sale at our Kingsbury Grange development, we’re keen to begin work on the new houses at St Edmunds Gate and ensure movers continue to enjoy a choice of high-quality new homes in Bury St Edmunds.

“St Edmunds Gate will comprise beautiful two-bedroom coach houses and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses in spacious designs that we have chosen to suit families, first-time buyers and those seeking a luxury home in one of England’s finest market towns.”

All new homes at the development will enjoy a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing, Porcelanosa tiles, Roca sanitaryware, and a fitted Symphony kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood, while gardens will be fenced and laid to lawn.

For those choosing a new home priced from just £129,995 at Kingsbury Grange – or registering their interest in the new properties at St Edmunds Gate – George Wimpey’s easymover programme offers support for first-time buyers, while those with a house to sell can reserve a new home and then sit back and relax while the housebuilder helps to find a buyer for their current property.

Incentives can be tailored to homebuyers’ circumstances and are subject to availability. Further details are available from the Sales Executive.

St Edmunds Gate will enjoy a good location within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds town centre, with its traditional market and peaceful cathedral gardens, and new Arc retail and leisure quarter featuring a flagship Debenhams department store and 35 big-name shops and restaurants.

Closer still, a small supermarket, convenience store, post office, pub and restaurant are within half a mile of the new homes.

To find out more about George Wimpey’s new homes in Bury St Edmunds, house-hunters can visit the Kingsbury Grange Sales Centre located off Mount Road, Moreton Hall and open on Mondays from 1pm to 5pm, then daily from 10am to 5pm, or log on to Georgewimpey.co.uk.
