Castle Hill Primary pupils are safe as houses George Wimpey Manchester has shown its support for safety in the community by donating 60 high visibility vests to the children of Castle Hill Primary School.

The housebuilder has provided the fluorescent vests for the school in Todmorden, which will not only help identify the pupils when they are out on school excursions but will also serve as excellent road safety protectors.

Hannah Mulholland, headteacher of Castle Hill Primary School, said: “High visibility vests are really useful when we’re taking the children out on visits especially if we’re walking a lot. The safety of our children is paramount so it is reassuring to know that our children will be safe and visible at all times.”

Maureen Whitelaw, sales executive at nearby George Wimpey development Castle Hill Park, said: “As a housebuilder, we know the importance of personal safety and this is a message we wanted to pass down to the local children. We have designed these vests especially for the children of Castle Hill Primary School so that they will be safe when they’re out and about.”

Situated in idyllic countryside at the Lancashire Yorkshire border, Castle Hill Park on Halifax Road is an exclusive development of only 24 properties, consisting of three and four bedroom, three storey townhouses.

Surrounded by areas of natural beauty including the Rochdale canal and the River Calder, buyers will find Castle Hill Park the perfect rural retreat with unrivalled views and a tranquil atmosphere.

The site is less than a mile away from Todmorden’s town centre, with its range of boutiques, antique shops, cafes and bars, and is just a short distance from the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge, renowned for its appeal with artists, photographers and writers, and regarded as one of the most cosmopolitan centres of the north.
