New Golf offers even more value for Motability customers
Motability customers could be welcoming in the New Year with a new car, thanks to some attractive rates on the latest generation Volkswagen Golf which is available in showrooms from today.
Take for example the Golf S 1.2-litre TSI 85PS with five-speed manual gearbox (three- and five-door) which emits just 113 g/km of CO2 and can achieve up to 57.6 mpg on the combined cycle, and is available on the Motability scheme from just £99 Advance Payment.
The latest generation Golf is lighter, safer, more advanced, more spacious, more efficient and better equipped than previous generations of Europe’s best-seller, of which over 29 million have been sold – some 1.6 million of these in the UK.
Specification levels are generous across the range with all new Golfs featuring a new Composition Media System compromising a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, DAB digital radio receiver, MDI (Multi Device Interface), eight speakers and Eco HMI. In addition, an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, XDS electronic differential lock, manual air conditioning, multifunction computer, electronic tyre pressure monitoring system and Stop/Start Technology are all standard. All models also feature Bluetooth telephone connectivity for compatible mobile phones.
Moving up the range to SE, Motability customers can choose from three engines: one petrol 1.4-litre TSI 122 PS, and two diesels, a 1.6-litre TDI 105 PS and a 2.0-litre TDI 150 PS. Also standard – and setting new standards in this class – are ADC (Automatic Distance Control) which includes the radar sensor controlled distance monitoring system Front Assist, City Emergency Braking system and cruise control. Additional safety features on SE include Driver Alert and PreCrash preventive occupant protection systems. A driver profile selection system is also standard on SE and GT models.
